As part of their commitment to research and development of advanced nutritional supplements, Herbalife established a Cellular and Molecular Nutrition research facility at UCLA. The lab is headed up by Professor. David Heber, Professor of Medicine and Public Health at UCLA and Founding Director of the UCLA Center for Human Nutrition.
The mission is to advance nutritional science to new levels of understanding using the most progressive research and development technologies available. The researchers will fingerprint individual herbs using a method calledMultidimensional Profiling that will enable the company to maintain its position on the forefront of creating the most advanced supplements available.
Utilizing the UCLA research facilities Herbalife has established both a Nutritional Advisory Board (SAB) and Nutritional Advisory Board (MAB) made up of world renowned scientists and nutrition experts to create products based on latest research.

Dr. Heber has published articles on botanical dietary supplements and phytochemicals and their role in prevention of cancer and cardiovascular disease.
